Sabich as comfort food — exactly what I needed
Some dishes exist to comfort and Sabich is absolutely in that category. The sweet and tangy quality works on something almost primal — you feel the warmth of it immediately. za'atar does work that no substitute can replicate.

I had never tried Sabich before this visit and I wasn't sure what to expect. The warmly spiced taste hit immediately and made sense of the dish in a way descriptions never quite do. Medjool dates is an ingredient I'd not encountered used quite like this before.

Restaurant review — Sabich that actually delivered
I'm sceptical of any restaurant claiming to do Sabich well, having been disappointed often enough. This one delivered. The warmly spiced base was authentic and the use of Medjool dates showed real knowledge.

Honest verdict on Sabich — good but not exceptional
Sabich here was solidly made — bright and fresh with herbs without anything to complain about. silan date syrup was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.
