Perfect for bingeing

Every episode of The Boys ends at exactly the right moment to make you immediately start the next one. the satirical corporate villainy is addictive in the best possible way. I finished the whole run in four days.

The world-building is unmatched

The Boys creates a world so fully realised that every detail feels intentional. The rules are consistent, the consequences are real. corporate power and complicity gives the whole world a moral weight that most shows lack entirely.

The finale actually delivered

So many shows fail their endings. The Boys stuck the landing. The final episode resolves Starlight's arc in a way that feels both surprising and inevitable. Eric Kripke clearly knew where this was going from episode one.

A bit overhyped but still very good

The Boys lives up to maybe 80% of the hype. the satirical corporate villainy is genuinely excellent. The superhero deconstruction element is well done. My only complaint is that things drag slightly in the middle. Still four stars.

One of the greatest shows ever made

The Boys is a masterclass in television storytelling. Eric Kripke's writing is meticulous — every episode builds towards something. The theme of superhero deconstruction runs through every storyline. A must-watch.

The writing is extraordinary

Every line of dialogue in The Boys has purpose. Eric Kripke and the writers' room craft scenes where subtext carries more weight than text. The episode What I Know is one of the best hours of television I've ever seen.

Changed how I think about television drama

The Boys showed me what television can do. The corporate power and complicity storyline is handled with more intelligence than most films. the genre-defying violence with purpose elevates the whole thing. Required viewing for anyone who cares about storytelling.
