Some dips but overall a classic
Chernobyl has a few uneven episodes across its run but the high points are some of the best television ever made. Open Wide, O Earth alone is worth the subscription. the cost of lies is explored in genuinely surprising ways.

Boris Shcherbina is played with incredible subtlety. You believe every choice they make even when those choices are catastrophic. the meticulous historical accuracy is a big reason this show rose above its peers.

A bit overhyped but still very good
Chernobyl lives up to maybe 80% of the hype. Jared Harris and Stellan Skarsgård's performances is genuinely excellent. The Soviet bureaucracy and denial element is well done. My only complaint is that things drag slightly in the middle. Still four stars.
