Iron Man (2008)

Iron Man is not background viewing. Every scene requires you. Put your phone down. Jon Favreau is doing too much to be half-watched. Give it the attention it deserves.

Iron Man has been praised so heavily that no film could live up completely. It's an excellent film — the perfect origin story tone is genuinely remarkable — but it's not the untouchable masterpiece some claim.

I've seen Iron Man multiple times now and it just keeps getting better. the perfect origin story tone is something rarely matched in cinema. If you haven't watched it yet, clear your evening.
