The supporting cast deserves more credit
Everyone focuses on the lead in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest but the supporting cast is extraordinary. Every scene partner brings something real. It makes the world feel fully inhabited rather than staged.

The score elevates every scene
The music in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is so deeply married to the images that you almost can't separate them. It stays in your head days later and when you hear it again the emotions return immediately.

The cinematography alone is worth it
Whatever you think of the story, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is one of the most visually extraordinary films ever shot. There are frames here that belong in a gallery. Worth seeing on the biggest screen possible.

Hard to watch but impossible to look away
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest deals with freedom vs control in a way that's genuinely uncomfortable at times. But that discomfort is the point. Milos Forman never lets you look away, and the film is better for it.

Changed how I think about freedom vs control
I didn't expect One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest to affect me so deeply. The way Milos Forman handles institutional power is unlike anything I'd seen before. I came out of it looking at the world differently.

A film that demands your full attention
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is not background viewing. Every scene requires you. Put your phone down, dim the lights. Milos Forman is doing too much to be half-watched. Give it the attention it deserves.

Better on second watch
I liked One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest when I first saw it, but the second viewing is where it clicked. Once you notice how Milos Forman plants every detail early on, the whole film transforms. Layers everywhere.

Disappointed given the reputation
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is technically accomplished and I understand its place in film history. But it left me cold. The institutional power element felt mechanical and I never connected emotionally. Maybe I'll try again someday.

One of the greatest films ever made
I've seen One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest multiple times now and it just keeps getting better. Jack Nicholson's electric performance is something rarely matched in cinema. If you haven't watched it yet, clear your evening.
