The cinematography alone is worth it

Whatever you think of the story, Monty Python and the Holy Grail is one of the most visually extraordinary films ever shot. There are frames here that belong in a gallery. Worth seeing on the biggest screen possible.

A film that demands your full attention

Monty Python and the Holy Grail is not background viewing. Every scene requires you. Put your phone down, dim the lights. Terry Gilliam and Terry Jones is doing too much to be half-watched. Give it the attention it deserves.

One of the greatest films ever made

I've seen Monty Python and the Holy Grail multiple times now and it just keeps getting better. the anarchic improvised energy is something rarely matched in cinema. If you haven't watched it yet, clear your evening.

The craft behind this film is astonishing

Every choice in Monty Python and the Holy Grail feels deliberate. The framing, the pacing, the Trojan Rabbit — Terry Gilliam and Terry Jones is operating at a level most filmmakers never reach. It's the kind of film you study rather than just watch.

Disappointed given the reputation

Monty Python and the Holy Grail is technically accomplished and I understand its place in film history. But it left me cold. The the British class system element felt mechanical and I never connected emotionally. Maybe I'll try again someday.

The ending absolutely floored me

Monty Python and the Holy Grail builds so carefully to its conclusion that when it arrives you feel genuinely moved. The the British class system thread pays off in a way that's earned rather than manipulative. Couldn't sleep afterward.

Can't believe I waited this long to watch it

Everyone told me to watch Monty Python and the Holy Grail for years. Finally did and instantly understood why. the low budget used as a joke is immediately apparent. Now I'm recommending it just as loudly to everyone else.

The supporting cast deserves more credit

Everyone focuses on the lead in Monty Python and the Holy Grail but the supporting cast is extraordinary. Every scene partner brings something real. It makes the world feel fully inhabited rather than staged.
