Everyone focuses on the lead in Black Swan but the supporting cast is extraordinary. Every scene partner brings something real. It makes the world feel fully inhabited rather than staged.

Every choice in Black Swan feels deliberate. The framing, the pacing, the mirror doppelganger — Darren Aronofsky is operating at a level most filmmakers never reach. It's the kind of film you study rather than just watch.

I went into Black Swan knowing nothing — no trailer, no plot summary. I strongly recommend that approach. The psychological disintegration hits much harder when you haven't been primed for it. Go in cold.
