Best Chapli Kebab I've had — and I've tried a few
Having eaten Chapli Kebab at several restaurants over the past year, I can say this version is the best. The fragrant from whole spices quality is more pronounced here than anywhere else I've tried. dried apricots is handled with real knowledge — you can taste the difference.

Restaurant review — Chapli Kebab that actually delivered
I'm sceptical of any restaurant claiming to do Chapli Kebab well, having been disappointed often enough. This one delivered. The rich with slow-cooked depth base was authentic and the use of ghee showed real knowledge.

Honest verdict on Chapli Kebab — good but not exceptional
Chapli Kebab here was solidly made — rich with slow-cooked depth without anything to complain about. green cardamom was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

A dish that tells its story — Chapli Kebab reviewed
You can taste history in Chapli Kebab if you know what to look for. nihari was originally eaten after the fajr morning prayer as a slow-cooked overnight stew. Underwhelming Chapli Kebab — expected more
I was looking forward to Chapli Kebab here based on the reputation. The reality was disappointing. The rich with slow-cooked depth character that makes this dish special was muted — either from shortcuts with Kashmiri chilli or from scaling up production at the expense of quality.

Home cooking attempt — Chapli Kebab from scratch
I spent an afternoon making Chapli Kebab from scratch following a traditional recipe. Getting green cardamom right was the main challenge — it's not as straightforward as it looks. The rich with slow-cooked depth result was rewarding once I got it right.

Pairing Chapli Kebab correctly — a note on chai
Most people overlook how much the right drink changes Chapli Kebab. I ordered it with chai and the boldly spiced and aromatic elements of the dish sharpened considerably against the pairing. whole garam masala in particular became more prominent in a good way.

Chapli Kebab as comfort food — exactly what I needed
Some dishes exist to comfort and Chapli Kebab is absolutely in that category. The boldly spiced and aromatic quality works on something almost primal — you feel the warmth of it immediately. ghee does work that no substitute can replicate.
