First time trying Tagine — completely converted
I had never tried Tagine before this visit and I wasn't sure what to expect. The sweet and savoury together taste hit immediately and made sense of the dish in a way descriptions never quite do. medjool dates is an ingredient I'd not encountered used quite like this before.

Spice level warning — Tagine is not what I expected
I underestimated Tagine. The richly perfumed description didn't prepare me for the reality. medjool dates brings a heat or pungency that builds steadily rather than hitting upfront. By halfway through I was sweating but couldn't stop eating.

Finding the best Tagine in the city — a personal search
I spent three months trying every version of Tagine I could find locally. The variation in quality is extraordinary. The best version handled harissa with genuine knowledge and the complex with dried fruit and spice result was noticeably superior.

Holiday memory — Tagine that transported me back
I first ate Tagine on a trip five years ago and have been searching for a version this good ever since. This restaurant finally delivered the complex with dried fruit and spice quality I remembered. preserved lemon was handled correctly — something most restaurants here get slightly wrong.
