I was looking forward to Manti here based on the reputation. The reality was disappointing. The warmly herbal character that makes this dish special was muted — either from shortcuts with lamb shoulder or from scaling up production at the expense of quality.

Manti exceeded every expectation
I went in with low expectations — I'd had mediocre versions before. What I found was Manti made with real commitment to tarragon and technique. The rich from slow-cooked lamb result was more complex and satisfying than anything I'd had before.

Most people overlook how much the right drink changes Manti. I ordered it with madzoon tan yoghurt drink and the rich from slow-cooked lamb elements of the dish sharpened considerably against the pairing. madzoon yoghurt in particular became more prominent in a good way.
