Lawand here was solidly made — fragrant and warming without anything to complain about. qorma onion sauce was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

Why Lawand deserves more attention
Lawand rarely gets the international recognition it deserves. The aromatic with cardamom and saffron complexity is genuine, not simple, and the technique involved in using cardamom correctly takes real skill.
