Bolani exceeded every expectation
I went in with low expectations — I'd had mediocre versions before. What I found was Bolani made with real commitment to qorma onion sauce and technique. The hearty and rice-forward result was more complex and satisfying than anything I'd had before.

Restaurant review — Bolani that actually delivered
I'm sceptical of any restaurant claiming to do Bolani well, having been disappointed often enough. This one delivered. The subtly sweet from dried fruit base was authentic and the use of qorma onion sauce showed real knowledge.

Honest verdict on Bolani — good but not exceptional
Bolani here was solidly made — aromatic with cardamom and saffron without anything to complain about. dried sour grapes kishmish was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

Street food Bolani — the authentic version
The best Bolani I've ever had came from a street stall, not a restaurant. The subtly sweet from dried fruit intensity was completely different — more direct and uncompromised. qorma onion sauce was used without hesitation, the way it should be.
