Good country, exhausting tourist industry
Spain is a genuinely beautiful and interesting place. Plaza Mayor is worth every superlative thrown at it. The jamón ibérico is legitimately excellent. vibrant nightlife gave the trip real depth.

Arrived with low expectations, left completely converted
Spain wasn't high on my travel list. A friend pushed me to go and I'm genuinely grateful. The first full day in San Sebastián reset everything — the scale of Sagrada Família and the quality of the tapas were immediate signals that I'd misjudged the place completely.

Barcelona surprised me completely on this trip to Spain
