Unexpected emotional depth in Singapore
I thought I was going to Singapore for beaches, food, and Raffles Hotel. I got all of those things. What I didn't expect was how emotionally affecting the trip would be. The history — particularly around Marina Bay — hit in ways that good travel sometimes does.

Returned to Singapore for the third time — keeps getting better
This was my third visit to Singapore and I keep finding new reasons to return. This time I explored beyond Sentosa and discovered a completely different side of the country. Hawker Centre never loses its impact no matter how many times you've seen it.
