Impressed after 12 months

Sceptical when I ordered — playing it safe rather than exciting myself. A year in, genuinely impressed. More refined than expected, seats comfortable on long trips, nothing unexpected has gone wrong.

Best car I've ever owned

I've owned many cars and the 2023 Kia Sportage is comfortably the best. Interior feels genuinely premium, ride is smooth, infotainment actually works. My only gripe is wind noise at motorway speeds — minor on an otherwise outstanding vehicle.

Strong value proposition

At this price point the 2023 Kia Sportage is difficult to beat on pure value. Generous standard equipment, solid reliability record, and depreciation that won't sting too badly.

Good but expected more

Competent, reliable, comfortable. But 'competent' isn't what you want spending this much. Hard plastic panels in places, engine note unpleasant. Test-drive the competition before committing.

Exceeded every expectation

Nervous buying without testing more alternatives but after 18 months: not a single unplanned shop visit. Safety features have intervened twice on the motorway. Comfortable on long journeys, easy to park. Everything you want.

Family road trip approved

1,200-mile round trip with two kids and a dog. Boot swallowed everything, rear space genuinely comfortable, fuel stops infrequent. Kids slept most of the way. Ultimate endorsement.

Decent, but not outstanding

Solid car that does its job without exciting me. Ride comfortable, easy to drive, safety features work well. Interior materials feel a step below the price point, engine noisy when pushed. Reliable but not class-leading.

Ongoing reliability nightmare

Fourteen months, more time at the dealer than my driveway. Turbo failed at 8,000 miles, infotainment blank at 11,000 miles, persistent vibration they cannot locate. First and last experience with this brand.
