Really good — a few niggles but nothing major
Excellent car overall. Strong points: ride quality, interior space, standard safety tech. Weak points: fiddly touchscreen, thick rear quarter pillar blind spot. Neither a dealbreaker. Would buy again.

Decent, but not outstanding
Solid car that does its job without exciting me. Ride comfortable, easy to drive, safety features work well. Interior materials feel a step below the price point, engine noisy when pushed. Reliable but not class-leading.

Solid choice — does most things very well
Hits a sweet spot for me. Refined on the motorway, economical for commuting, practical for family. Only gripe is infotainment slow to connect to phone on startup. Build quality noticeably better than my previous car.

Worst car purchase I've ever made
Cannot recommend. Transmission issue, electrical fault that stranded me, engine warning light dealer cannot diagnose. Every visit takes a week. I had high expectations. Avoid.

Exceeded every expectation
Nervous buying without testing more alternatives but after 18 months: not a single unplanned shop visit. Safety features have intervened twice on the motorway. Comfortable on long journeys, easy to park. Everything you want.

Solid choice — does most things very well
The 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 hits a sweet spot for me. Refined enough for the motorway, economical enough for commuting, and practical enough for family duties. I'd have rated it five stars but the infotainment system has a frustrating habit of not connecting to my phone immediately on start-up. Softwar…

Disappointed — expected better reliability
I bought my 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 based on strong reviews and brand reputation, but I've had ongoing electronic issues. The infotainment system has crashed twice requiring dealer visits to reset. The automatic emergency braking has triggered unexpectedly three times, which was frightening. Dealer has…

Absolutely love it — couldn't be happier
Picked up my 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 six months ago and I have zero complaints. The build quality is exceptional, the technology is intuitive, and the driving experience genuinely puts a smile on my face every single commute. Did a lot of research before buying and glad I went with this one. Fuel econo…

Weak points are a slightly fiddly touchscreen that requires too many taps for simple tasks, and a blind spot from the thick rear quarter…
