My favourite commuter ever

40 miles each way. The 2021 Cadillac XT5 makes the commute genuinely enjoyable. Seats stay comfortable, adaptive cruise works brilliantly, fuel costs reasonable. After 25,000 miles nothing has gone wrong.

Mixed feelings after six months

Excited at purchase, reality more subdued. Positives: generous space, good fuel economy. Negatives: touchscreen freezes, rear wiper smears, lane-keeping too aggressive. Not bad but needs polish.

Excellent value at the spec I chose

Mid-spec was the sweet spot. Heated seats, wireless CarPlay, blind-spot monitoring all standard. Build quality honest and durable. No showiness, just exactly what I needed.

Best car I've ever owned

Solid choice — does most things very well

Hits a sweet spot for me. Refined on the motorway, economical for commuting, practical for family. Only gripe is infotainment slow to connect to phone on startup. Build quality noticeably better than my previous car.

Ongoing reliability nightmare

I've owned my 2021 Cadillac XT5 for fourteen months and it has spent more time at the dealer than on my driveway. The turbo failed at 8,000 miles, the infotainment screen went blank at 11,000 miles, and there's a persistent vibration the dealer cannot locate. This is my first experience with this br…

Disappointed — expected better reliability

I bought my 2021 Cadillac XT5 based on strong reviews and brand reputation, but I've had ongoing electronic issues. The infotainment system has crashed twice requiring dealer visits to reset. The automatic emergency braking has triggered unexpectedly three times, which was frightening. Dealer has be…
