Serious competitive journey in Wrestling — what it really takes
I've been competing in Wrestling for three years now, training five days a week. I want to give an honest picture of what the competitive path looks like.
The technical demands compound. double-leg at beginner level and at competition level are almost different skills. Understanding scrambles deeply enough to deploy it under pressure takes years, not months. Studying Jordan Burroughs's approach changed how I think about the game entirely. the explosive athleticism wrestling builds is what makes it worth the commitment. finding adult beginner classes outside the US is the tax you pay. Not everyone needs to compete — but if you have the itch, chase it. It will make you better in every direction.
