Dropped Weightlifting after 10 months — honest about why

I trained Weightlifting for 10 months and then stopped. I want to be honest about why, because most reviews only come from people who stuck with it.

technique-before-loading discipline was a bigger issue for me than I anticipated. My gym also had a culture problem — a few people had developed an ego around their receiving position knowledge that made sessions uncomfortable. The sport itself isn't the issue. The jerk footwork is genuinely interesting and how the sport rewards technique over brute strength is real. I'm open to going back to a different gym. The sport deserves a better environment than I found.
