Overrated for fitness, underrated for everything else

Purely as a fitness tool, Weightlifting is good but not exceptional. There are more efficient ways to get fit. Where Weightlifting is genuinely underrated is everything else: the jerk footwork problem-solving, the percentages and programming depth, how the sport rewards technique over brute strength. These aren't fitness outcomes — they're life outcomes.

technique-before-loading discipline is the honest downside that the fitness crowd often glosses over. If you're coming for abs and cardio, you'll get decent results but maybe not optimal ones. If you're coming for something that changes how you think and move and manage stress, Weightlifting is exceptional value.
