Good gym, real progress — but underdeveloped hand techniques relative to kicks frustrated me

4 out of 5

I've been training Taekwondo for 6 months at a decent gym with good coaches. My back kick has improved significantly and I've developed a real understanding of hogu body protector sparring. how poomsae develops balance and body control has been a consistent positive.

The one thing that has genuinely frustrated me: underdeveloped hand techniques relative to kicks. I've read that this is common in Taekwondo but it's still annoying when you're experiencing it. I've worked around it mostly, but it's the reason this is four stars rather than five. The sport itself is excellent — the frustration is circumstantial.
