I've been competing in Karate for three years now, training five days a week. I want to give an honest picture of what the competitive path looks like.

The technical demands compound. oi-zuki lunge punch at beginner level and at competition level are almost different skills. Understanding dojo etiquette deeply enough to deploy it under pressure takes years, not months. Studying Sajad Ganjzadeh's approach changed how I think about the game entirely. kumite opening up after basics click is what makes it worth the commitment. kata memorisation is the tax you pay. Not everyone needs to compete — but if you have the itch, chase it. It will make you better in every direction.
