I've been growing Lupine for a full year now and want to capture what each season offered. peak flowering from early to midsummer was the clear high point — everything you're told about Lupine at that time of year is true. But the plant has something to offer in every season, which I hadn't expected.

exceptional wildlife value for bees, butterflies, and hoverflies is consistent throughout the year, which is one of its real strengths. I've settled on a roadside or verge planting in a community space as the ideal position. allowing plants to set seed before cutting at the end of season was the lesson I took into next year. poor germination in compacted or clay soils is the only thing that interrupted the enjoyment. Otherwise: excellent.
