I don't have a garden so a container with a meadow mix for a balcony is my only option for Foxglove. It absolutely works — with the right attention to sowing directly into poor soil as rich soil encourages weeds you can get excellent results in containers.

exceptional wildlife value for bees, butterflies, and hoverflies is fully achievable even in a pot. seed setting and dispersal in late summer is just as impressive in a container as it would be in the ground, possibly more so because the plant is at closer viewing distance. The main issue to watch in containers: poor germination in compacted or clay soils. Happens faster than in the ground. Highly recommend for balcony and patio gardeners.
