Container growing Black-eyed Susan — a practical guide from experience
I don't have a garden so a wildflower meadow replacing lawn areas is my only option for Black-eyed Susan. It absolutely works — with the right attention to scarifying or scratching the soil before sowing for seed contact you can get excellent results in containers.
wide seasonal succession from spring to autumn is fully achievable even in a pot. seed setting and dispersal in late summer is just as impressive in a container as it would be in the ground, possibly more so because the plant is at closer viewing distance. The main issue to watch in containers: dog walkers or trampling on unmown meadow areas. Happens faster than in the ground. Highly recommend for balcony and patio gardeners.
