I don't have a garden so a trellis panel as a garden divider is my only option for Passionflower. It absolutely works — with the right attention to providing a robust support structure before planting you can get excellent results in containers.

ability to soften hard architectural features naturally is fully achievable even in a pot. bare structure in winter revealing the interesting stem framework is just as impressive in a container as it would be in the ground, possibly more so because the plant is at closer viewing distance. The main issue to watch in containers: roots disturbing foundations if planted too close to buildings. Happens faster than in the ground. Highly recommend for balcony and patio gardeners.
