Honest review: Morning Glory is rewarding but pruning at the wrong time removing next season's flower buds is real

Morning Glory is a genuinely satisfying plant to grow, but I want to be upfront about one thing: pruning at the wrong time removing next season's flower buds. I've dealt with it twice now and it takes consistent attention to manage.

Beyond that, vertical growing habit maximising space in small gardens makes it one of my favourites in the collection. I keep it in a house wall with appropriate fixings for support which suits it well. Learning about training new growth to the support structure while still flexible has been essential. peak flowering display in summer is worth waiting for — the plant really justifies itself then. Four stars because of that persistent issue.
