Slow start but a stunning finish with Zucchini
The first few months with Zucchini were underwhelming. Almost no visible growth and I questioned my decision repeatedly. Then something shifted — I think getting consistent deep watering rather than frequent shallow watering right was the turning point.
full control over growing methods and chemical use became apparent once the plant found its stride, and it's genuinely impressive. Displayed in a greenhouse or polytunnel for season extension it gets the attention it deserves. planting out and establishing after last frost was the moment it stopped being a project and became a pleasure. One thing to keep on top of: blossom end rot from irregular watering and calcium deficiency. Everything else takes care of itself once the basics are solid.
