Beginner success with Tomato — here is what helped
As a complete beginner I was nervous about starting with Tomato. It turned out to be more forgiving than I expected, as long as I paid attention to consistent deep watering rather than frequent shallow watering.
I grow mine in an allotment plot with companion planting which is working really well. satisfaction of harvesting food you grew yourself was a genuine surprise — I didn't expect it to look or perform like that. sowing under cover from late winter for early crops has been the highlight so far. My biggest mistake early on was ignoring blight in warm wet summers especially on tomatoes, which I'd recommend addressing immediately.
