I planted Sweet Corn without expecting much and it's become one of the most satisfying things in my garden. satisfaction of harvesting food you grew yourself is something I couldn't have predicted from looking at it in a nursery. You only understand it once the plant is established and performing.

I keep it in a grow bag on a paved patio or balcony which is perfect for it. rotating crops each year to prevent soil-borne disease build-up was the thing I got lucky getting right early. planting out and establishing after last frost stopped me in my tracks the first time I saw it. blossom end rot from irregular watering and calcium deficiency is a real thing — just check regularly and deal with it quickly.
