Six months with Spinach — what I actually learned

I brought Spinach home six months ago with high hopes and almost no knowledge. The first challenge was understanding consistent deep watering rather than frequent shallow watering — something I hadn't expected to matter so much. Once I got that right, the whole thing settled down.

I grow it in a greenhouse or polytunnel for season extension and the position has been ideal. satisfaction of harvesting food you grew yourself is what keeps drawing me back to it. clearing beds and preparing soil with compost in autumn was the moment that made me glad I persisted through the learning curve. One honest warning: blossom end rot from irregular watering and calcium deficiency caught me off guard in month two. Stay on top of it from the start.
