I've been growing Spinach for a full year now and want to capture what each season offered. planting out and establishing after last frost was the clear high point — everything you're told about Spinach at that time of year is true. But the plant has something to offer in every season, which I hadn't expected.

productive over a long season with successive sowing is consistent throughout the year, which is one of its real strengths. I've settled on a decorative potager with flowers and vegetables mixed as the ideal position. feeding with a high-potassium fertiliser once flowering begins was the lesson I took into next year. slug and snail damage on young seedlings is the only thing that interrupted the enjoyment. Otherwise: excellent.
