Beginner success with Cucumber — here is what helped

As a complete beginner I was nervous about starting with Cucumber. It turned out to be more forgiving than I expected, as long as I paid attention to feeding with a high-potassium fertiliser once flowering begins.

I grow mine in a greenhouse or polytunnel for season extension which is working really well. full control over growing methods and chemical use was a genuine surprise — I didn't expect it to look or perform like that. clearing beds and preparing soil with compost in autumn has been the highlight so far. My biggest mistake early on was ignoring blight in warm wet summers especially on tomatoes, which I'd recommend addressing immediately.
