People describe Cucumber as easy and I'd push back on that slightly. rotating crops each year to prevent soil-borne disease build-up needs consistent attention and aphid colonies on brassicas and soft growth can undermine progress quickly if ignored.

Where Cucumber is genuinely underrated is the beauty. satisfaction of harvesting food you grew yourself is extraordinary when you see it in person. I display it in an allotment plot with companion planting and it gets comments from everyone who sees it. peak harvest in mid to late summer is the time to really understand what this plant offers. Not for the truly neglectful gardener, but absolutely worth the attention it requires.
