I planted Bell Pepper at entirely the wrong point in the growing calendar and spent the first few months wondering what I'd done wrong. blossom end rot from irregular watering and calcium deficiency didn't help matters. Once I understood thinning seedlings to give each plant adequate space things improved substantially.

productive over a long season with successive sowing is what makes this plant worth persisting with. In an allotment plot with companion planting it finally looks as good as I'd imagined. planting out and establishing after last frost redeemed the whole effort. If you're starting out: do your timing research before you plant.
