I planted Bell Pepper without expecting much and it's become one of the most satisfying things in my garden. far superior flavour versus supermarket produce is something I couldn't have predicted from looking at it in a nursery. You only understand it once the plant is established and performing.

I keep it in an allotment plot with companion planting which is perfect for it. rotating crops each year to prevent soil-borne disease build-up was the thing I got lucky getting right early. sowing under cover from late winter for early crops stopped me in my tracks the first time I saw it. aphid colonies on brassicas and soft growth is a real thing — just check regularly and deal with it quickly.
