Honest review: Plumeria is rewarding but yellowing leaves from overwatering or cold root temperatures is real
Plumeria is a genuinely satisfying plant to grow, but I want to be upfront about one thing: yellowing leaves from overwatering or cold root temperatures. I've dealt with it twice now and it takes consistent attention to manage.
Beyond that, fast growth in warm humid conditions makes it one of my favourites in the collection. I keep it in a summer patio with shelter from wind and cold nights which suits it well. Learning about watering generously in summer and reducing in winter has been essential. bringing back indoors before first autumn frost is worth waiting for — the plant really justifies itself then. Four stars because of that persistent issue.
