A year of growing Banana Plant — detailed seasonal notes

Here are my notes from twelve months of growing Banana Plant:

Spring: flowering period in peak summer heat. This was the moment that confirmed the whole venture. I focused on maintaining temperatures above 15°C throughout the year during this period which set up the rest of the year.

fast growth in warm humid conditions developed steadily through the warmer months. leaf browning from low humidity in centrally heated rooms appeared in summer and required prompt treatment. The plant in a warm humid conservatory or heated greenhouse performed better than I'd expected for the position. Overall: a rewarding year. The investment of attention is paid back generously.
