The propagation success I didn't expect with Weeping Willow
I started with one Weeping Willow and now have four, all from propagation. The process is straightforward once you understand watering deeply and regularly in the first two growing seasons — something I picked up from trial and error rather than any guide.
I display them in a garden focal point visible from the house windows which shows off canopy habitat for birds, insects, and wildlife at its best. bare winter silhouette revealing branch structure and bark is when they're most impressive. verticillium wilt causing branch dieback on susceptible species has been my main challenge across all of them, but it's manageable now that I know what to look for. A genuinely generous plant if you let it be.
