A year of growing Panda Plant — detailed seasonal notes

Here are my notes from twelve months of growing Panda Plant:

Spring: dormancy and reduced watering in winter. This was the moment that confirmed the whole venture. I focused on avoiding water on the rosette centre to prevent rot during this period which set up the rest of the year.

water-storing fleshy leaves in geometric rosettes developed steadily through the warmer months. mealybug infestations in leaf crevices appeared in summer and required prompt treatment. The plant in a fairy garden or miniature landscape performed better than I'd expected for the position. Overall: a rewarding year. The investment of attention is paid back generously.
