Container growing Jade Plant — a practical guide from experience

I don't have a garden so an office desk with a grow light is my only option for Jade Plant. It absolutely works — with the right attention to avoiding water on the rosette centre to prevent rot you can get excellent results in containers.

extremely low maintenance between waterings is fully achievable even in a pot. new offsets appearing around the base in spring is just as impressive in a container as it would be in the ground, possibly more so because the plant is at closer viewing distance. The main issue to watch in containers: leaf drop in cold or draughty positions. Happens faster than in the ground. Highly recommend for balcony and patio gardeners.
