Slow start but a stunning finish with Haworthia
The first few months with Haworthia were underwhelming. Almost no visible growth and I questioned my decision repeatedly. Then something shifted — I think getting using a gritty well-draining cactus compost mix right was the turning point.
wide range of colours from blue-grey to red became apparent once the plant found its stride, and it's genuinely impressive. Displayed in a shallow dish garden arrangement it gets the attention it deserves. dormancy and reduced watering in winter was the moment it stopped being a project and became a pleasure. One thing to keep on top of: root rot from overwatering and poor drainage. Everything else takes care of itself once the basics are solid.
