A year of growing Echeveria — detailed seasonal notes
Here are my notes from twelve months of growing Echeveria:
Spring: vivid stress colouring in full summer sun. This was the moment that confirmed the whole venture. I focused on providing at least six hours of bright indirect light during this period which set up the rest of the year.
extremely low maintenance between waterings developed steadily through the warmer months. root rot from overwatering and poor drainage appeared in summer and required prompt treatment. The plant in a sunny windowsill in a terracotta pot performed better than I'd expected for the position. Overall: a rewarding year. The investment of attention is paid back generously.
