Here are my notes from twelve months of growing Queen Elizabeth:

Spring: first flush of blooms in late spring. This was the moment that confirmed the whole venture. I focused on deadheading spent blooms to encourage reblooming during this period which set up the rest of the year.

repeat-flowering over a long season developed steadily through the warmer months. powdery mildew in humid summers appeared in summer and required prompt treatment. The plant in a dedicated rose bed with good air circulation performed better than I'd expected for the position. Overall: a rewarding year. The investment of attention is paid back generously.
