Black Baccara seasonal highlights — a year in review
I've been growing Black Baccara for a full year now and want to capture what each season offered. first flush of blooms in late spring was the clear high point — everything you're told about Black Baccara at that time of year is true. But the plant has something to offer in every season, which I hadn't expected.
strong disease-resistant root stock is consistent throughout the year, which is one of its real strengths. I've settled on a sunny south-facing garden border as the ideal position. applying rose-specific granular fertiliser in early spring was the lesson I took into next year. rose dieback from hard winter frosts is the only thing that interrupted the enjoyment. Otherwise: excellent.
