Struggling with Windmill Palm — would appreciate advice

I want to be honest: I'm not getting great results with Windmill Palm and I'm not entirely sure why. slow recovery from transplant shock when moved as large specimens has been a recurring problem despite my attempts to address it. I've been focusing on feeding with a palm-specific slow-release fertiliser in spring based on everything I've read.

long-lived structure that becomes more impressive over decades is there in glimpses, which tells me the plant has potential in my conditions. I have it in a sheltered sunny courtyard or walled garden which might not be ideal. fastest growth during the warmest summer months showed some improvement. Two stars for now — not the plant's fault, but not a success yet. I'll update if things improve.
