I planted Sago Palm without expecting much and it's become one of the most satisfying things in my garden. instantly transformative architectural presence in any setting is something I couldn't have predicted from looking at it in a nursery. You only understand it once the plant is established and performing.

I keep it in a sheltered sunny courtyard or walled garden which is perfect for it. avoiding cutting healthy green fronds as this stresses the plant was the thing I got lucky getting right early. fastest growth during the warmest summer months stopped me in my tracks the first time I saw it. crown damage and death in severe or prolonged frost is a real thing — just check regularly and deal with it quickly.
