As a complete beginner I was nervous about starting with Queen Palm. It turned out to be more forgiving than I expected, as long as I paid attention to avoiding cutting healthy green fronds as this stresses the plant.

I grow mine in a Mediterranean or exotic themed garden border which is working really well. instantly transformative architectural presence in any setting was a genuine surprise — I didn't expect it to look or perform like that. cold weather protection needed in winter for tender varieties has been the highlight so far. My biggest mistake early on was ignoring slow recovery from transplant shock when moved as large specimens, which I'd recommend addressing immediately.
