Slow start but a stunning finish with Date Palm

The first few months with Date Palm were underwhelming. Almost no visible growth and I questioned my decision repeatedly. Then something shifted — I think getting avoiding cutting healthy green fronds as this stresses the plant right was the turning point.

remarkable toughness once properly established became apparent once the plant found its stride, and it's genuinely impressive. Displayed in a warm conservatory or bright atrium it gets the attention it deserves. best planting and repotting in late spring as soil warms was the moment it stopped being a project and became a pleasure. One thing to keep on top of: slow recovery from transplant shock when moved as large specimens. Everything else takes care of itself once the basics are solid.
