Slow start but a stunning finish with Areca Palm

The first few months with Areca Palm were underwhelming. Almost no visible growth and I questioned my decision repeatedly. Then something shifted — I think getting avoiding cutting healthy green fronds as this stresses the plant right was the turning point.

instantly transformative architectural presence in any setting became apparent once the plant found its stride, and it's genuinely impressive. Displayed in a large decorative pot as a patio centrepiece it gets the attention it deserves. new frond production visible in spring and early summer was the moment it stopped being a project and became a pleasure. One thing to keep on top of: slow recovery from transplant shock when moved as large specimens. Everything else takes care of itself once the basics are solid.
